Part time Chandlery Assistant
Hayling Island, United Kingdom
We're looking for part-time staff to join us at the chandlery, based at the renowned Hayling Island Sailing Club in Hampshire, UK.
We are open seven days a week in the summer and on a limited basis out of season. This role would require one weekend on and one weekend off during peak summer times.
We're looking team members that fit with our ethos and enthusiasm, so we are open to hearing from anyone who has a genuine interest in rolling up their sleeves and helping out on the shop floor. A keen interest in boats is a must!
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited too:
- Assisting customers in finding products, including hardware and technical apparel.
- Answering questions about products and their uses.
- Handling sales transactions, including cash and credit card payments.
- Processing returns and refunds.
- Sales and Stock Management:
- Restocking shelves and displays.

Maintaining a clean and organised store environment.
- Pricing and rotating stock.
- Unpacking deliveries and checking off orders.
- Packing customer orders
- You'll be responsible for packing orders securely for shipping, ensuring that items are protected from damage during transit.
Desired, but not essential:
- Clean UK driving licence (1+ years)
- DBS check
